During the first semester intersession, I was involved in DNA Barcoding and we did a project on food fraud. Our project was to correlate the quality of Japanese/sushi restaurant and the Wasabi they serve. This is one of my exemplary works because I was able to successfully deliver and present this project at the expo. I felt that we were able to attract a lot of audience and they showed a lot of interest in it. My group and I worked really hard analyze and collect data in class and outside of class.
Our class in American Conflict really helped me improve in my writing skills. We didn't write many essays but we did a lot of short writing responses. I was able to gather all the feedback that my teachers had given me to write this in-class essay. Even though I struggled in the beginning, I was able to pull myself together and write a strong essay.
I chose to also include this math project because it was the first time that I was able to "invent calculus". I worked in a small group to create a formula or a method to find the slope of a tangent line and the area under the curve. We weren't given any outside resources so all we had were each other, a pen, and paper.
